This position is to oversee, lead and coach a team of Managers who are frontline contacts on a variety of budgeting and business planning matters between Treasury Board and Finance and the Ministry(s) that they have been assigned. The Director will lead Managers in providing information and advice to senior Treasury Board and Finance officials, the President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance, and the Treasury Board Committee.
The Director also assists the Executive Director in providing advice to the Senior Assistant Deputy Minister of the Treasury Board Secretariat, the Deputy Minister, and the President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance on government spending, business planning and various policy issues. Amongst other accountabilities, the Director will review recommendations from Managers regarding information provided from Ministries to ensure decision makers are provided with timely, accurate analysis and recommendations on which to base spending decisions and develop budget details.
The Director will use strategic thinking to take a broad scale, long-term view in order to assess options and implications. They will engage their relationship building skills to develop and maintain win/win relationships and partnerships with clients. Incumbent will effectively manage internal and external resources to achieve organizational goals and positively influence people and events.
Post-secondary degree in Commerce, Business Administration or related discipline plus a minimum of 7 years related management experience in provincial budgeting and business planning or process. Knowledge and understanding of the legislative and government decision-making process.

$4,088.43 to $5,191.71 bi-weekly ($106,708 – $135,503/year)
This is a permanent, full-time position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
