Market Rate Adder Incentive of $60.00 per day and retention pay of $25.00 per day is in effect on top of base hourly rate for all Welder Apprentices positions at Suncor Forthills!

Jardeg is recruiting Welder 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice to join the Suncor Fort Hills Maintenance Primary Extraction project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a regular, full-time position on a 7/7 shift schedule.

Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment. Welders develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders, as well as clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and welding parts together.

Responsibilities:

• Weld parts together.

Minimum Requirements:

• Apprenticeship Card
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or BSO or OSSA Regional Orientation
• Aerial Work Platform
• OSSA or Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest or Fall Protection
• OSSA or Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space
• Overhead Crane & Rigging
• Driver’s License and a clean 3 year Driver’s Abstract
