Specific Accountabilities:
  • Creates visibility, informs current students, staff, and alumni of our affinity partnership with TD Insurance, and provides information on its benefits
  • Contributes to increasing overall participation rates by methods appropriate for the event (including e-mail, social media and phone calls)
  • Understanding and supporting international students as they transition form Lambton College students to graduates and beyond
  • Supports management of activities and special events related to the Alumni Association, focusing on the Graduate Service & Support Centre
  • Participates and/or attends activities and special events on and off campus
  • Works with the Alumni Coordinator to ensure that event materials are created and distributed for any activities or events occurring in-person or online
  • Ensures the Alumni Association is represented at appropriate celebrations, ceremonies, and events on campus
  • Helps to coordinate on-campus events and programs representing the Alumni Association, including solicitation of event materials and communication
  • Provides content for Alumni Association social media platforms to provide consistency in public communications, including from an international graduate perspective to increase engagement
  • Promotion of Premiers Awards and cultivation of potential candidates
  • Responsible for the input and tracking of alumni contact information in RE and Salesforce •Utilize Live Alumni to query and find leads for alumni initiatives
  • Adheres to the Lambton College brand standards
About the Position:
This is a Regular Part Time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Associate Director, Foundation, Alumni & Enactus working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $22.47.

The Event Support Associate role will provide related support services for the Lambton College Alumni Association. Working closely with the Alumni Coordinator, this role is primarily responsible for contributing to the delivery, and coordination of alumni outreach programs and events at our GTA study locations, with a heavy focus on supporting the goals of the Graduate Service & Support Centre and Lambton College International graduates.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a two-year college diploma or undergraduate degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent education, training, and experience
  • 1-year experience in event management, with a focus on creativity, organization, execution, and adaptability
  • Experience in communications is an asset
