Are you a highly organized, detail- oriented professional with exceptional communication skills? Are you passionate about project management in the biotech industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Senior Project Coordinator, Operations.

STEMCELL Technologies, Canada’s largest biotechnology company is dedicated to advancing scientific research and is looking for a new team member to join our Operations Project Management team. This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution by coordinating project activities, managing timelines, and overseeing operational processes. In this role you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of various projects within our organization. As a Senior Project Coordinator, Operations you’ll have the opportunity to exercise your existing skills (and develop new ones) in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term position, with the opportunity to convert into a permanent role.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing project management support to ensure completion of all project deliverables with the right scope, schedule, and budget

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver outstanding communications and project collateral with visibility at the executive and senior leadership level

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver related program metrics including, but not limited to: resource loading, risk, performance, scope management

  • Work with project team members to develop tactical strategies for overcoming risks and issues, adjusting and controlling project timelines

  • Streamline operational processes, identify areas of improvement, and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences or related field, with 2+ years of relevant project coordination/management experience

  • Experience in writing, editing and formatting project documentation including meeting agendas, meeting minutes, status reports, and progress presentations

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team with outstanding organizational skills

  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with project team members

  • Project management designation (e.g CAPM) is an asset
