As the Senior Product Analyst, you will be part of the Product Design Chapter and will Contributes to the body of knowledge of their Chapter. They will ensure and contribute to the body of knowledge for their chapter and bring forward best practice recommendations to the Chapter leadership. They will participate in peer review for designs and may assist in coaching and mentoring junior product analysts within the Chapter.
The Senior Product Analyst is responsible for understanding the “Big Picture” and self-selecting activities where they can contribute to a Product Squad by completing the design and configuration of a solution for an entire business function or end-to-end process.
The Senior Product Analyst is also a member of a Product squad who actively contributes to the customer-centric outcomes of the squad. The Senior Product Analyst could be responsible for defining Product features, activities such as designing, building, process engineering,
configuring, and testing custom-built applications, packaged COTS software applications or SaaS software applications as part of an Agile Squad. They work under the direction of a Scrum Master and Product Owner as part of an Agile Squad to meet the product’s objectives.
Contributes to the body of knowledge of their Chapter, this ideal candidate will implement the Chapter’s standards and best practices in their work and bring forward best practice recommendations to the Chapter leadership.
What You’ll Do
As a member of a squad, contribute to the completion of work necessary to deliver value to our customers and achieve squad Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Contributes to shaping the end-to-end product vision and long-term roadmap.
Facilitates discussions and contributes thought leadership to identify and describe customer personas, process pain points, detailed requirements, and business rules for whole business processes and/or features and enhancements of a Product.
Identifies and analyzes impacts and benefits to the customer resulting from newly configured or improved business processes and functionalities.
Champions a customer-centric mindset. Uses Design Thinking and Customer Centricity to lead and solve complex problems with multiple subject matter experts to better solve the customer’s needs.
Deep knowledge of business domains/products/customer journeys and the corresponding technical solutions.
Performs program and software configuration/modification, design, testing, and set-up activities using CTC methodologies as required to meet the Product outcomes.
Participates in all agile events as a member of the squad. Prepares for and participates in demos as needed.
Squad outcomes and OKRs are met. Is a SME in the business and technical domains of the squad. Their expertise is sought out. Participates fully in squad events. Positive feedback from the Product Owner, Scrum Master and Pod leadership. Evidence of the use of multiple skills and taking on varied responsibility as needed to meet the squad outcomes.
Displays the highest level of critical thinking and analysis in bringing successful resolution to high impact, complex, and/or cross department, cross functional problems.
Makes prompt, sound decisions when faced with complex and often contradictory alternatives that result in successful outcomes.
Follows Quality and Security guidance for the purposes of audits and participates in internal and external audits.
May coach and mentor junior Product Analysts in the Chapter May review and approve designs by junior members of the Chapter
What You Bring
Requires Bachelor Science or Arts in a Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business or related discipline and 7+ years of experience in a related field.
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at the same time under tight deadlines.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex scenarios.
Excellent knowledge and experience of Agile and Product Ownership.
Strong practical experience with various development methodologies.
Strong modelling skills to depict outcomes in a variety of ways – analysis and critical thinking.
Strong communication skills with ability to present complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story.
Strong problem solver with ability to resolve blockers and maintain progress on the solution.
Excellent customer understanding related to the squad domain area.
Strong knowledge of the squad’s systems and applications.
Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills - ability to collaborate, negotiate, conflict-manage.
Strong blend of strategic and tactical thinking.
Nice to Have
Experience with Data Lake or Big Data analytics technologies
Experience with coaching and mentoring junior team
