Paramedic

With the broad and courageous vision to change how healthcare can be delivered in Canada, C-diagnostics and C-era, both divisions of C-Health, will lead the best practice example.

This role is essential to supporting the Physicians and other healthcare professionals by performing cardiometabolic testing and assisting with clinical support.

This position is very active, mobile and fast-paced, requiring good organization, planning and time management skills in order to keep clinic flow and physicians on time.

While we are currently hiring part-time, an opportunity to increase weekly hours in the future may be discussed with the right candidate.

The successful candidate must:

· Have a strong knowledge of medication, including uses, spelling, generic vs brand name

· Have strong medical terminology

· Experience with rhythms and 12-lead ECG interpretations

· Have strong computer skills (Netcare, Internet, EMR, Word and Excel) with the ability to input data quickly and accurately

· Be good with technology

· Have the ability to multitask

· Be a fast learner

Key responsibilities:

· Engage and participate in a highly functional and multi-disciplinary clinical team

· Participate as a member of Code Team

· Participate in patient care, including the prioritization of patient emergencies

· Perform cardiac stress testing on patients, including myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) testing such as MIBI and Dipyridamole tests.

· Act as liaison between patients and physicians

· Ensure clear communication with physicians or clinical staff as required in the course of patient care, diagnosis and treatment

· Has the ability to produce high quality work in accordance with clinic policies and procedures

Qualifications

· Active and valid Alberta College of Paramedics practice permit

· Current BLS certification

· Current ACLS certification

· Flexibility and an ability to react quickly in a fluid and fast-paced environment

· Strong communicator

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00-$46.00 per hour

All team members, patients, and visitors are screened and provided with appropriate mask upon entry. Air purifiers and barriers throughout clinic. Regular cleaning and sanitization of all surfaces and equipment.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

• Are you capable and confident in your ability to read and interpret 12-lead and 15-lead ECGs without assistance? This includes but is not limited to the rapid identification of: Left vs Right BBB; LAFB/LPFB; 1, 2i, 2ii, and 3 degree blocks; etc....

Experience:

• Paramedic or Nursing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• RN or ACP license (required)
