What you’ll do
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in working with a cross-functional team for the successful execution of the Precision NanoSystems Building and Operations Expansion project. The individual understands construction, procurement and move management processes and is proficient in the use of the project management process and tools for planning and managing project scope, timelines, quality, cost and risks.
  • Working with project team and directly with the PM, supports the project planning process, drives execution, and monitors progress.
  • Coordinates multiple sub-project timelines into one governing project timeline, maintains key high level project milestones, risks and mitigation strategies
  • Generates and maintains internal project procurement tracker and supports purchase order submissions into the e-Req system
  • Participates in project documentation delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works collaboratively with the project team to ensure best understanding of project objectives, specifications, deliverables, timelines, costs and risks.
  • Maintains detailed timelines and key milestones.
  • Proactively plans and supports project team meetings with agendas, productive discussion and issues meeting minutes and action items.
  • Contributes to the preparation of project dashboards and progress reports, identifying, anticipating, and resolving issues which threaten project timeline and/or budget.
  • Supports PM in developing updates to key stakeholders and management team.
  • Adopts and integrates Danaher Business Systems Project Management tools
  • Engages in continuous improvement in all areas of Project Management
Who you are
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (Engineering) or BCIT Diploma (Construction Management) preferred
  • This role initially is an 18 month contract, with potential to go fulltime.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project management or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP certification or good working knowledge of project management governance, process, and tools.
  • Experience managing the financial aspects of project management, including planning, revenue recognition and reporting
  • Demonstrated peer leadership and influencing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work successfully in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management Software.
