Our Calgary client is a leader in food production and packaging, and they are looking for a motivating Production Supervisor to lead and coach their well-skilled production team. The ideal candidate will have,
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role in a production/ manufacturing facility, experience in the food or beverage industry would be well-regarded
- Experience with scheduling, inventory control, quality control
- Passionate about working with teams, with a proven track record to develop and motivate employees
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge and awareness of food handling and, health and safety practices
Responsibilities include,
- Supervision and scheduling of production line staff
- Post-secondary education in a food-related discipline, and/or Operations Management
- Adhere to health and safety policies and ensure the safety of all employees
- Troubleshoot and resolve production variances and issues
- Coach and mentor staff to achieve optimal efficiency
- Provide routine repairs and maintenance of line and batch equipment
- Work a Monday – Friday schedule on a rotating shift basis
