Let’s help you launch your career with AVL/Solvet! We are looking for a full-time Production Assistant - Evening Shift (Monday-Friday - 3:30pm to Midnight) to join our Production team on-site in our Calgary facility.

NOTE - Only applicants who are currently eligible to work in Canada and reside in the Calgary area will be considered for this opportunity.

*SUMMARY*

Working in team or individual settings, the Production Assistant assists in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. Our Production Assistants work in both team or individual settings and are responsible for the manufacturing and packaging of Veterinary Pharmaceutical products.

*RESPONSIBILITIES*

- Assists in compounding, packaging, labelling, weighing, filling, capping and stacking of products following established manufacturing quality processes
- Adheres to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and AVL/Solvet work instructions
- Completes all required paperwork including logbooks, work orders and other required documents
- Follow all company policies as described in the Employee Handbook
- Follow all safety procedures, and assist in maintaining a safe workspace
- Maintains a clean working area
- Other related duties as required

*QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE*

Educational requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

Experience/skills requirements of the job:

- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to follow instructions and meet daily objectives, while working safely and efficiently
- Able to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
- Must be physically fit (may required to lift up to 50 lbs/23 kgs) and stand for long periods of time
- Good vision, attention to details and hearing skills are required for this role
- Required: great work references, clear police background check, medical clearance

*WORKING CONDITIONS*

- Work schedule: Monday to Friday - 3:30pm to Midnight
- Mainly inside work
- Some heavy lifting and repetitive movements
- Limited requirement for overtime duties
- Works with hazardous chemicals in controlled environment
