Job Description

Apex Educational Consulting Services Inc. is hiring experienced tutors to provide individualized one-to-one home-based services in various academic subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assessing students' current academic level target subjects and preparing individualized lesson plans based on the Ontario curriculum and IEP (when applicable).

· Preparing and marking weekly homework assignments.

· Maintaining an attendance sheet to keep track of student attendance.

· Monitoring student progress and communicating progress with parents.

· Preparing students for upcoming tests and exams.

Qualifications:

· OCT Certification is an asset

· Minimum 1 year of tutoring/teaching experience

· Experience working with individuals with special needs is an asset

· Able to work independently

· Access to a vehicle is an asset

Rate:

$25.00-$33.00 per hour, depending on performance, plus bonuses.

Hours: Typically 1-hour sessions, but schedule will be based on arrangement between tutor and assigned students' families.

Job Types: Casual, Freelance

COVID-19 considerations:
All therapists are required to wear a mask in session.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Thornhill, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
