The Portfolio Manager position is responsible for the strategic planning, and tactical implementation of various projects and initiatives, including growth strategy, retail analysis, market planning and strategic initiatives for Canada.
The candidate for this position will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, well organized, strategic, and have analytical, financial, real estate, research and problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who will excel in a fast-paced, lean, results-oriented, and collaborative environment.
As a portfolio manager, you will…
- Create, develop, drive and execute store growth strategies, plans, and goals for the Canadian market.
- Provide research, quantitative analysis, and modelling to analyze opportunities, business plan development, competition, and performance and/or evaluation of business opportunities, current or potential.
- Support planning and deployment of Starbucks key strategies in areas such as trade area optimization, new store growth, store relocations and store concept optimization and under performing assets.
- Research and develop strategic recommendations to create critical value for clients, markets, business units and the company.
- Apply analytical methods to quantify risks, identify opportunities to increase market share, and/or identify organic growth opportunities.

- Presentation skills: Effective in various presentation settings, including one-on-one, small and large groups, and with peers and managers.
- Financial and business acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results; proficiency in retail math
- Systems and tools acumen: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint and aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
- Experience in statistics, modelling, business intelligence and spatial analytics.
