Agilus is recruiting for a
Advanced Care Paramedic in the
Heathcare Industry in
Gibbons, Alberta.
A critical member of the Emergency Medical Team, the ACP ensures that injured workers are provided with immediate onsite medical care, and to advise and/or arrange timely transport to a medical facility as required. Working at 24/7 facility
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that injured workers are provided with immediate and professional on-site medical care, and to advise and/or arrange timely transport to a medical facility
- Be familiar with work in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
- Take reasonable care to use safety and personal protective equipment as required by health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
- Read, understand and comply with HHS’s Medical Control Guidelines, Safety policies, and Job Procedures, as well as applicable government laws and regulations
- Work within their applicable scope of practice determined by Alberta College of Paramedics as directed by the Medical Director.
- Report to your direct supervisor immediately after any incident or condition believed to be hazardous to worker’s health and safety
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Emergency Medical Services/Occupational setting
- Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program
- Preference for someone who is working in an ambulance now "on car"
- Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics as an Advanced Care Paramedic
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Current International Trauma Life Support (advanced)
- Current and clean Driver’s Abstract
- CSTS, H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015
What's in it for you:
