About Us:

Hammond Paper is a rapidly growing 25 person paperboard distribution and converting company located in Vaughan Ontario. We sell cut-to-size cardboard sheets and custom made protective packaging to businesses in Ontario, Quebec and the northeastern United States.

Your key responsibilities:

We are currently searching for a Finance and Operations Associate to work closely with our President (David Campbell), taking on various tasks across all areas of the company: accounting entries, invoicing, financial reporting, order processing and some human resources and marketing activities.

The ideal candidate is a college or university business program graduate with strong math, computer and interpersonal skills. They have a desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment, learn all aspects of a small business, and help aggressively grow the business. No specific prior experience is required.

To qualify for this role you must have:

  • Basic understanding of accounting
  • Strong basic math and computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good attitude and willing to learn and work as part of a team
  • Attendance in the office 4-5 days/week in Vaughan, Ont.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Entrepreneurial experience, or an interest in entrepreneurship
  • Interest in emerging technologies

Salary: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
