Position: Departures Coordinator and Operations Assistant
Level: Part Time/Seasonal Entry level position ( Shift Work)
Reporting to: Operations Manager and Fleet Supervisor
Schedule: Thur to Monday. Starting time will vary depending on the time the tours depart but will typically be from 7:30am - 3:30pm
Start date: ASAP - June 1st, 2023 (Training to start in May if available)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Operations Manager and Fleet Supervisor, the Departures and Operations Assistant will be primarily responsible for ensuring that everything runs smoothly at departures and assisting the Operations Team and Supervisor in preparing all of the tour information and supplies for the Tours and Tour guides.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Tour Departures:
- Bring all of the required tour information and supplies to the departure location. Assist the tour guide with checking guests in, getting waiver forms signed, contacting any guests that have not arrived, managing the crowd of passengers, etc.
- Sales support if there are guests that are looking to book on the tours
- Operations Support
- Assist with the management of the inventory of tour supplies, equipment, clothing etc. Ensuring that everything is returned in a timely manner and taking action for any missing items.
- Responsible for organizing and unpacking the camping equipment in the summer months
- Assist with managing on tour/activity food inventory, doing supply shopping and vehicle packing
- Assist with cleaning/washing buses on certain days as needed
- Assist with organizing and running client BBQ’s, sporting events, and other special events
- Assisting with tour bag preparation and performing quality checks, ensuring inventory for tickets, vouchers etc are in the bad. Post-trip ensure the bags are returned
- Yard and Fleet Support:
- Help with cleaning and unpacking the buses on Mondays after your departures shift
- Unpacking and sorting out camping gear.
- Sales Support:
- Assisting with sales (at the store front or at Canada place) through answering phone calls, emails, street sales or walk-in clients, all while providing top level customer service
- Tour Guiding:
- Opportunities to assist on leading certain tours and activities will be available. These duties will fall under a tour guide contract should you qualify and choose to participate in them
Position Requirements:
- Highschool diploma is required
- College diploma or University degree is an asset
- Experience in the Travel & Tourism industry is an asset
