Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide home-based services for a small caseload of clients between 2-18 years of age with a range of developmental disabilities.

The position would involve travelling within the Richmond, BC community to client’s homes and providing services on site. COVID-19 safety protocol strictly enforced. Direct supervision provided from Registered Occupational Therapist.

As an Occupational Therapist you will:

  • Work with clients and their families to establish family centered and client centered occupational therapy goals
  • Provide direct service, including but not limited to occupational therapy assessments, consultation, interventions, and education to the client, family and community providers
  • Utilize literature to establish and support evidence-based practice
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of community providers involved in the client’s care team
  • Document delivery of occupational therapy services and client’s progress in treatment interventions as per college guidelines
  • Adhere to code of conduct and ethics for working with vulnerable population

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized University
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia
  • One (1) year's recent, related experience working with pediatrics as an Occupational Therapist
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Valid BC Drivers License and access to a vehicle
  • Professional development in pediatrics and mental health an asset
  • Registered Autism Service Provider an asset

Availability

  • Part-Time (2-3 days per week with shifts of 3-6 hours)
  • Must be available on Saturdays and 2 weekdays from 3:30pm-6pm
  • Richmond residence an asset

Compensation: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Type: Part-time
