Manager, HR Planning


Reporting to the VP HR, Talent & HRBP Technology, the Manager HR Planning is responsible for the planning, ensuring progress and reporting of key HR strategies, initiatives, and projects across the HR function.


Overall Responsibilities


The incumbent of the role will work closely with the CHRO and HR Leadership team to optimize function’s impact, ensuring key cross functional decisions / deliverables are made in a timely manner. The role is quite varied and broad from running operations to helping with strategic planning within HR.


Accountabilities for the role include:

  • Support the end-to end HR Planning function. This includes supporting the day-to-day operational planning activities for CHRO and HR Leadership team and take a holistic approach to tasks that support the functions strategic priorities
  • Support and lead HR SLT weekly planning meeting, prepare agendas, create, distribute minutes, and capture/follow-up on action items
  • Collect meeting materials and distribute to team with agenda, and maintain materials and agendas on HR SLT SharePoint
  • Kick-off annual and quarterly planning cycles, support planning committee, track monthly progress on key HR priorities
  • Plan, organize, and support HR Senior Manager+ Planning sessions (twice per year) and quarterly HRL strategic sessions
  • Collect and consolidate updates to HR & Corporate risks in HR for the Risk team on a quarterly basis
  • Draft announcements for team changes and/or initiatives within HR. Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team on department announcement (team changes, survey results, announcements, etc.)
  • Develop executive-level presentations, research key topics, and provide support for cross-functional HR initiatives – based on business needs
  • Additional duties, as assigned


Qualifications:

  • University degree with concentration in business, Human Resources, CHRP or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant, progressive experience in HR
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint and other MS Office tools
  • Strong business and financial acumen, research/analysis and problem-solving skills, ability to absorb a large amount of information (financial and non-financial) and summarize key issues
  • Ability to examine issues/tasks from a micro and macro lens
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven experience to build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization with all levels of management in a matrix organization
  • Highly collaborative, results oriented, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and high standards of quality are expected. Should be able to work both strategically and tactically and have experience handling confidential and privileged information
  • Previous experience in a planning function is an asset
  • Understanding Project Management principles is an asset
