Job Description

We are seeking a Mandarin/Cantonese speaking Legal Receptionist/Assistant. The right candidate will be someone who has a positive outlook, is client-centered, production focused and a team player having the self-drive to make a meaningful contribution.

This position will be a first point of contact for clients. The candidate needs to be to provide a high level of excellence in customer service as well as managing activities related to legal assistance for lawyers and/or staff. The ideal candidate will also be computer savvy, able to work in a busy fast paced environment and is able to multi-task.

Bilingual in English and and/or Cantonese.

Duties include:

  • Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties.
  • Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization.
  • Take phone, e-mail, or written message for staff members.
  • Assisting lawyers and staff with legal work.
  • General administrative tasks as needed, including letters, forms, filing and reports as necessary.
  • Arrange and book meetings for lawyers.
  • Present a positive and professional image of the organization to all clients, visitors and other interactions.
  • Ensure all required forms are completed as needed during client visits.
  • Observe and report any security issues.
  • Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services, and other correspondence.
  • Maintain the reception and waiting area in a tidy and presentable manner.
  • Any other tasks that may be needed from time to time.

Qualifications

  • A Legal Assistant Diploma from a recognized institution.
  • 1 year of reception/legal admin experience.

Salary: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • DCS / DEC (preferred)
