Alamos Gold’s Island Gold is one of Canada’s highest grade and lowest cost gold mines. This underground operation is located just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa in Northern Ontario. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold’s Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality, and Alamos is now investing in a major expansion project which is expected to transform Island into one of the largest and most profitable mines in Canada with an 18-year mine life. Primary Responsibilities:

• Data entry in the Mine Operations Information System (MOIS - Dashboard System)
• Time studies to validate the variables affecting the processes
• Work closely with Underground, Mill, Engineering, and Geology Departments
• Assist Continuous Improvement Projects by planning, helping, with improvement projects including Six Sigma and Lean (Kaizens) or any mixed methodology within the project pipeline
• Assist in ensuring the respective Management Plans align with Island Gold's goals, objectives, and vision
• Assist in implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure measurable and progress are in place to support the mine site operations through the information systems.
• Support the implementation of Underground, Mill, Logistics and surface projects

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge and application of continuous improvement techniques would be an asset
• The individual should have demonstrated a high level of energy, self motivation, and strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills together with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and specially MS Excel is an asset
• Excellent communication, organization, analytical and computer skills are required
• Problem solving skills and ability to make sound business decisions while working independently
• Bilingualism (french & english) is an asset
