Description:

The Junior Accountant, under the assistance of the Senior Accountant, will be responsible for assisting with accounts payable cycles, accounting reconciliation (customer, bank, and inter-company, etc.), operations, reporting, and other duties as required to assist the team. If you are a multi-tasker, business-focused professional with the ability to see situations in a holistic manner and have experience in accounting - we want to hear from you!


General Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the accounts payable cycle of the company, including vendor statement reconciliation and recording of daily invoices
  • Assist with the accounts receivable process of the company, including customer statement reconciliation
  • Ensure accounting software is up to date with all vendor and customer information
  • Perform daily reconciliations
  • Assist credit card statement reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are supported with receipts and recorded in the accounting software
  • Assist with the expense report process
  • Assist with G/L account reconciliations
  • Assist the Senior Accountant with monthly tasks
  • Assist with intercompany reconciliations
  • Other duties to assist the finance team, as required

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a CPA designation
  • Two years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and drive for accuracy
  • Experience with Dynamics BC or equivalent ERP system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • English language skills required; French is an asset
  • Highly motivated self-starter, taking responsibility to learn independently and bring solutions forward when issues are identified
  • Strong work ethic, with a strong professional commitment to accuracy
