Junior Accountant
Mississauga
Duties:
- Following up on overdue invoices and escalating as necessary.
- Receive invoices, verify the accuracy of invoice, seek necessary approval and schedule payment.
- Investigate any exceptions on invoices and contact vendors as required to
- resolve.
- Reconciling bank balance on a daily and weekly basis.
- Accounts Payables
- Accounts Receivables
- Collections
- Coordinate with Project Managers to understand when milestones are met
- and customer invoices can be raised.
- Prepare invoices to send to customers, along with any associated forms, waivers etc.
- Review and approve employee expense claims and ensure employee compliance to corporate travel policy.
- Collaborate with employees to correct expense report issues.
- Provide support, investigate, and resolve travel and corporate card inquiries concerning account status.
- Prepare monthly account summaries and reports
- Act as the subject matter expert for the corporate travel online platform and manage travel bookings for employees.
- Maintain statements of account with company vendors.
- Credit control
Essential Requirements (mandatory)
- Experience working with QuickBooks. Preferably QuickBooks Desktop
- Enterprise.
- Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
- Work with appropriate parties to resolve issues on invoices
- Ability to handle high-volume of data entry
- Ability to prioritize issues and to efficiently troubleshoot problems
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Responsible and diligent worker
