  • You will be part of the Mobile Gateway (MG) organization within the Cloud and Network Services (CNS) Core Networks group.
  • The MG team delivers packet core solutions for multiple access evolutions, including 3G, 4G, and 5G.
  • The MG team supports multiple products including the 5G SMF/UPF and NRF functions; along with the 4G PGW/GGSN, SGW, ePDG, TWAG, and SSG functions.
  • The MG products are deployed across multiple hardware and cloud platform options.
  • Your role is in the test team, working on complex problems to qualify the MG application across various platforms.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Develop, modify and execute software development/test plans
  • Support, lead, develop, partner, and implement development/automation strategies for large and small features
  • Design, develop, script, execute, and maintain sophisticated tests to verify conformance of features and their functionality implemented by Engineering against requirements specifications laid out by Product Management
  • Be responsible for driving features to completion (ready for GA release) and will therefore be in close contact with software developers, test engineers, tools engineers, product managers, technical documentation writers, and support teams to deliver feature functionality in the MG product
  • Play a role in system design so that Quality Assurance is considered throughout the entire lifecycle of the product
Follow all Nokia Information Security policies and guidelines including ISMS (ISO27001 program)

Your skills and experience


You have:

  • Experience with programming languages such as C, C++
  • Experience with test automation and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Ksh/Bash
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as IPv6/IPv4 and TCP and troubleshooting

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Knowledge of and experience with 3GPP standards (UMTS, LTE, 5G)
  • Experience with network monitoring tools, such as Wireshark, to analyze messages transmitted and received
  • Knowledge with NFV (Network Function Virtualization) and related technologies such as Kubernetes, Openstack, VMware, KVM/QEMU can be beneficial
