Job Title: Enterprise Architect

Location: Nepean, Ottawa, ON

Duration: 12+ months (with possible extension)

Job Description:

• Must have a 3-year diploma / degree in Computer Science/Systems/Engineering/ Information Systems or Business Administration with a Computer Major

• Must have TOGAF Certification

• Demonstrated knowledge of business processes and operations, along with the strategic use of technology to enable business strategy

• Proven experience with business and technical requirement analysis, modeling, verification, and methodology development

• Ability to create Enterprise Architecture artifacts related to Viewpoint, Current State, Future State, and Gap Analysis.

• Extensive experience with developing strategic plans, planning and deploying of Business and IT initiatives.

• Strong technology research skill set with proven ability to architect and present technology alternatives based on scope-level business concepts

• Proven experience in systems design and development

• Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices

• Strong knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles and practice

• Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities

o A minimum of 8 years’ experience is required in the following areas:

o 8+ years of architecture experience including framework and methodology development;

o Must have Experience with other development platforms, preferably .net, C++ and Microsoft Azure

o Must have experience with real-time integration; experience with integration of COTS solutions via API or Web-Services;

o Must have experience architecting Azure platform to support networking, security and API Management including connectivity with on-premise applications

o Must understand best practices and design trade-offs, with the ability to communicate design choices;

o Must have experience in managing and introducing a wide range of enterprise applications and technologies;

o Must have experience in analyzing business requirements;

o Must have experience in proposing technology solutions meeting partner and IT stakeholders’ requirements;

o Must have experience in product lifecycle management; including introducing, maintaining and decommissioning IT applications.

o Must have proven success with projects involving the skills and technologies above, with a portfolio of references to speak for the work;

o Participation in knowledge sharing and mentorship

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Salary: $85.00-$90.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Ottawa, ON K2G 1V8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
