Human Resource Manager

The Rafih Automotive Group is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join their Team! As a professional HR Manager you will be directly responsible for all Human Resource functions such as, but not limited too, hiring, training, overseeing the onboarding process of new employees, training company employees about corporate policies and procedures, and providing general support to our dealership team members. In addition, your knowledge and input will help form overall group HR policies and direction for the larger group.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations
  • Coordinate annual performance review process and Employee Survey
  • Manage and monitor performance-related issues and implement changes that could increase productivity.
  • Working closely with our General Managers and department managers to provide full cycle recruiting assistance and candidate screening and assessments.
  • Work closely with our Controllers to ensure payroll related issues / concerns are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
  • Select the most qualified candidates and maintain relationships with employment agencies.
  • Work towards improving company policies and procedures.
  • Handle termination-related matters and prepare termination and severance letters.
  • Provide training and support to Managers in all departments.
  • Be well-versed in laws and regulations.
  • Provide custom reporting and HR analytics to Managers as needed.
  • Manager the HR Portal within the company system and HR Downloads external system
  • Interact daily with employees at all levels of the organization, guiding them in the appropriate application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Work with WSIB in workplace injury claims management and RTW.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a degree in a related discipline will be given preference.
  • A strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge about conflict management
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in software like MS Office and Google Docs
