Job Title: HR & Sustainability Coordinator
Job Status: Full-time, Permanent
Joining Bonus: $500 ($200 on joining + $300 after completing probation)
Wage: $50,000 per annum

Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Health and Safety program at the Company as well as leading sustainability and stewardship initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manages administrative responsibilities of the HR function; including preparing, processing, updating and maintaining a wide range of confidential documents
- Assists in planning and facilitating colleague events
- Co-chair the Health and Safety Committee
- Is the champion of Health & Safety and administers incident/accident reports, WorkSafeBC claims, including timely reporting, completion of forms, maintenance of WorkSafeBC binder, acting as contact person, and managing follow up
- Facilitates the delivery of Health & Safety training sessions to leaders and colleagues
- Co-chair of the SustaINN Committee
- Coordinates with Department Leaders sustainability initiatives and designations, maintains communication internally and works with Marketing on external partnerships and opportunities
- Supports wellness and stewardship in alignment with our values and legacy goals
- Compliance with the collective agreement, BC Employment Standards Act and BC Human Rights code
- Any other general duties
Qualifications:
- Previous Human Resources experience an asset
- Previous experience within the hospitality industry an asset
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, or Human Resources, an asset
- Sound working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Passion for guest service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven public speaking skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Proven self-motivation and ability to work effectively with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
- Must possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Previously trained new or existing team members
- Understands the importance of creating a fun and rewarding work environment
