Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering and coaching employees to provide excellent customer service and up-selling wine products
  • Creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment for customers
  • Managing product offering and inventory to ensure quality standards and continuous availability
  • Hiring, training, and managing all store employees
  • Ensuring the smooth and profitable operation of the restaurant, including maintenance and repair
  • Following all laws, codes, and regulations
  • Limited travel is required

Requirements:
  • Two years of college education, four-year college degree preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in hospitality or related industry
  • Strong foundation in wine fundamentals preferred
  • Ability to manage a team and conduct interviews
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and knowledge of the wine distribution industry
  • Basic understanding of restaurant economics and retail point-of-sale systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Must be able to lift and carry a standard case of wine
  • The Restaurant Manager will work under the general supervision of a Regional General Manager or CEO and must be able to communicate effectively in English, be 19 years or older, have a fully functional sense of smell and taste, and pass the required Transport Canada screening.
