Job Description

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant while providing a high level of customer service to our guests. This is a hands-on position that requires the General Manager to serve guests and receive tips.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, inventory, and budgets
• Ensure that the restaurant is fully staffed and that all employees are properly trained
• Provide a high level of customer service to our guests, including taking orders and serving food
• Manage the restaurant's financials, including budgets, payroll, and inventory
• Ensure that the restaurant is clean and well-maintained at all times
• Work closely with the chef to create seasonal menus and specials
• Develop relationships with local suppliers to ensure the restaurant has access to the freshest ingredients
• Implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase business and drive revenue
• Handle customer complaints and ensure that they are resolved quickly and effectively
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain all required licenses and certifications

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of experience as a General Manager in a fine dining establishment
• Experience managing budgets and financials
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine is an asset
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs
