Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, recharge, and test fire extinguishers to ensure compliance for purposes of equipment certification
• Responsible for monthly customer base and scheduling inspections of fire/safety related equipment
• Sales of fire and safety related equipment
• Working conditions include lifting/carrying of heavy objects and working with hand tools
  

Requirements

• Skill in inspection, repair, maintenance and testing techniques for fire safety equipment and systems
• Experience in fire suppression would be considered an asset
• Ability to work with small tools
• Ability to lift 55lbs
• Valid, unrestricted G driver's license
• Fire extinguisher maintenance certification
• High pressure hydro testing certification
• Experience in fire suppression would be considered an asset
• Preference will be given to local candidates
• • All inspections, repairs and maintenance on fire extinguishers and systems is performed in accordance with NFPA-10
  • Knowledge of NFPA 1962 Standards for the inspection, care and use of fire hose, couplings, nozzles and the testing of fire hose is an asset
