Job Summary

  • This an excellent opportunity to join an exciting and growing firm. As a Financial Planner, Data Analyst, you will be trusted to produce meaningful analysis and practical and actionable recommendations. This position is best matched with someone who has a passion for working with data, has exceptional attention to detail, is highly organized, is process-oriented, and likes to solve problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Build reporting and analytics to support sales activity while providing recommendations to improve the sales process
  • Analyze and evaluate data across systems and provide recommended improvements to support the accuracy and efficiency of data management
  • Ensure stored data is easily accessible
  • Build data collection and decision support tools
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for information from staff promptly
  • Work closely with leadership teams to create data strategies that support data modeling
  • Assist in creating a strategy that helps to increase the company’s customer base
  • Remove corrupted data and review through root cause analysis
  • Create and maintain job-related standard operating procedures.
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned by Manager

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related major or equivalent
  • 2 – 4 years of professional experience is required.
  • Knowledge of SQL, relational databases
  • Knowledgeable in the fundamentals of data visualization
  • Excellent Excel skills and robust MS Office skill set
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI, an asset
  • Experience with data analysis and data mining tools
  • Commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
  • Ability to present findings using presentation software, dashboards, and reports
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborates well with colleagues and builds strong working relationships
  • Works independently using project management skills
  • Learns quickly and has strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
