Jardeg Construction Ltd. is Looking for hand welder with TACKING experience on Bonnyville Fabrication Shop.

This is a regular, Temp - Full time position on a 5/2 shift schedule with 48 hours work week.

Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines, and equipment. Welders develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders, as well as clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and welding parts together.

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders.
• Clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch.
• Weld parts together.
• Tack-weld fitted parts together.
• Straighten warped or bent parts, using sledges, hand torches, straightening presses, or bulldozers.
• Lay out and examine metal stock or workpieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certified Welding Journeyperson
• CSTS-2020
• WHMIS 2015
• Valid Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s License and 3-year Drivers abstract.
