Job Description
The Emergency Call Centre Operator is responsible for ensuring the client receives the service agreed to as stipulated in contract. If you have experience as a dispatcher and want to take it your career to the next level this is the position for you!
- Answer calls on the security landline phone, mobile phones, intercom and radio system
- Liaison with contractor security personnel and client regarding security activities, incidents, search programs, access control programs and overall safety
- Monitor systems and alarms including, but not limited to:
- Security systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras; and
- 911 emergency dispatch
- Dispatch emergency calls to clients EH&S emergency service to manage fire, rescue, medical and the emergency command centre at all applicable sites.
- Dispatch security alarms, events and activities to all sites
- Report security incidents and ensure all incidents have been accurately documents in the system and reported to the appropriate individual
- Track all alarms and resolve any alarms relating to card problems
- Report on patrols using the shift report template and the electronic tour application
- Participate in safety meetings
- Generate attendance reports in the event of an emergency condition
- Starting wage $29.00 an hour

- Fluent in both English and French
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer and typing skills, proficient with Microsoft Office
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Experience with monitoring and operation of video and surveillance systems
- Minimum 1 year experience in Control/Call Centre
- Able to work 6 days on 6 days off 12 hour rotation. 1 rotation days 0600-1800 and 1 rotation 1800-0600
- Position is located downtown- c-train access only.
