Who you are:

To drive the integration of data science features in our core platform, we're seeking a Data scientist with a strong background in Software Engineering to join our analytics team.

Let's give you a purpose:

  • Design develop and deploy the infrastructure and application which will support the full model and data science feature lifecycle, including their integration with the core Validere platform
  • Build tools and systems to enable the iteration of the models and provide continuous monitoring of both the application and model performance
  • Leverage statistical and first principles methods to create scalable frameworks for model development
  • Ensure the integrity of the Data Science code base and its integration with the rest of the engineering stack
  • Interact with internal business stakeholders to ensure rigor in model design

Required skills:

  • Proficiency with Python and version control (Git)
  • Proficiency with Unix-like operating systems (Linux, MacOS X) and command-line interface
  • Proficiency with application infrastructure in cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to advanced statistical methods and Bayesian inference
  • Exposure to physics or chemical engineering-based simulations
  • Advanced degree (MSc) in computer science, data science, software engineering, or equivalent work experience
Nice to have:
  • Exposure to large industrial processes, chemical analysis, and/or logistics
