As a leader in the metal recycling industry, AIM Recycling specializes in buying, valorizing and selling metals for customers located around the world. In a rapidly growing company and reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Purchasing, the role of the Data Analyst is to support the sales and purchasing teams by analyzing and presenting related information. . The information gathered will support business decisions and the development of the strategic approach concerning sales and purchasing prices.

  • Support the team as an expert in their business field in making business decisions and in establishing business strategies;
  • Analyze and interpret sales and purchasing data;
  • Present recommendation on sales and purchasing pricing;
  • Perform secondary data research (market information, trends on consumers, etc);
  • Consolidate information from different systems, from different sites;
  • Analyze, define and design reports and dashboards to support the sales and purchasing teams;
  • Coordinate and monitor quantitative and qualitative studies for Aim Recycling;
  • Maintain financial models and reports to track, trend, and forecast future performance
  • Monitor best practices in their specialty and share them within the organization;
  • Propose improvements to current processes.
  • Develop business presentations.

Qualifications

University diploma in Management information systems or a relevant field;

  • Possess experience in a sales;
  • Possess 5 years of experience in quantitative data analysis;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft tools and Advanced knowledge of Excel, Cognos and Power BI;
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English (written and spoken)
  • Advanced knowledge of Mathematics and Statistics
  • Able to work with several different databases and to interpret the data;
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Possess a good business acumen;
