FullG Capital – Corporate Controller
The Corporate Controller will be a key member of the finance team. Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will support real estate investments’ financial reporting, controls, accounting, treasury, tax compliance and support operations.

The senior leadership team has over $4B of commercial real estate transaction management experience, and a proven track record of operating investments with high-profile North American institutions. This accomplished team is actively involved from acquisition to operation and revenue strategies for all assets in the portfolio, engaging an “owner onsite” property asset management program.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for GAAP reporting including corporate entities and consolidation across real estate investments; management of the general ledger and ownership of all journal entries.
- Full-cycle responsibility for corporate accounting including cash management, payroll, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, month-end closing process, and government remittances (US and Canada).
- Manage the capital expenditure process including tracking expenditures against budgets and enforcing internal controls
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external monthly reporting including cash flow monitoring
- Oversee compliance with reporting requirements and filings
- Oversee and prepare year end accounting requirements for auditors and tax advisors
- Support requirements for annual appraisals and property tax appeals.
- Prepare the corporate budget and consolidation of the real estate investment budgets and strategic plans
- Lead all aspects of ERP systems optimization (Yardi, Quickbooks, Zoho expenses)
- Assist in accounting and integration of new properties
- Assessing current accounting operations and internal controls, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Collaborate with asset management colleagues and property finance staff as needed
- Spearhead various projects as directed by CFO or CEO.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a position equivalent to a controller, with a proven track record of implementing accounting best practices.
- CPA certification or equivalent
- Strong excel skills and modelling skills considered a plus
- Strong technical accounting skills, particularly regarding US GAAP, ASPE
- ERP software experience including Yardi a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability work cross-functionally
- A self-started who anticipates problems and proactively finds solutions
- Experience with multinational corporations a plus
- Experience implementing financial systems a plus
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, writing and communication skills; a demonstrated relationship builder who develops lasting positive and value-adding relationships
- Collaborative with a proven ability to perform effectively in a lean team environment
- Results oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, maintaining meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional collaboration and time management skills, a self-starter attitude
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure dealing with changes and interruptions while maintaining the ability to meet strict deadlines
