Description for Internal Candidates

Civeo Premium Services Employees LP is looking to fill Baker positions at our P2 lodge located near Houston, BC. The successful candidate will prepare breakfast menu items and baked goods in addition to assisting with assigned kitchen duties as needed. Duties will include meal preparation, supervisory tasks, inventory, administrative tasks, safety and teamwork. Reporting to the designated supervisor, the successful candidate will work a 20 days on and 10 days off rotation, which may include days, nights, weekend shifts, and statutory holidays. Company-provided flights are available out of Edmonton, Calgary or Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and production of breakfast menu items
  • Bakes breads, rolls, muffins, pies, pastries, cakes and cookies
  • Prepares batters from scratch, fillings, cuts and forms dough
  • Ensure daily production levels are met
  • Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists are completed
  • Ensure food quality, food safety and service standards are met and maintained daily
  • May be required to perform administrative and supervisory tasks in the absence of the Chef
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years food service and baking experience, preferably in a remote environment
  • Valid Advanced Food Safety (BC Foodsafe level 2) certification is required prior to working
  • First Aid Certification is an asset
  • Red Seal Baker or Cook Certification is required
  • Proven leadership, organizational and time management skills in an industrial kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
