Experienced Construction Estimator

We’re currently hiring for an Experienced Construction Estimator on behalf of a Construction client of ours located in Gatineau, QC. Our client has been growing their business since 2002 and is on the move again! You’ll be working under the direction of 34+ years of building experts! Within this role you will be integral to the growth of the company, and we are looking for an up-and-coming estimator with room to grow. You are a quick-thinking, multi-tasking person with at least 5 years of hands-on estimating experience.

Job Details:

Pay: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00/Year
Based on 5 years of Experience
Shifts: Monday- Friday
Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation of drawings and specifications
• Synthesize drawings, identify necessary sub-trades and prepare separate scopes of work
• Able to accurately complete quantity take-offs
• Downloads and uploads various bid documents, submissions and proposals
• Working with the Tendering team, prepares and develops proposals, pre-qualification documents etc.
• General knowledge of the local construction marketplace
• Challenged by new construction methods
• Excellent team player, pulling your weight and more, to ensure success

Qualifications:

• PC proficiency with MS applications, email, Invitely, Biddingo, Merx, other bidding platforms
• General Math/Business skills
• Valid G class or Class 5 license for job site travels
• Strong software (email, CMiC, Office) experience
• Bilingual Preferred
• Ability to work under pressure and with little supervision
• Demonstrative General Contractor experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Thoroughness and organization skills
• Analyzing information
• Managing vendor relationships
