How your role will add to the story:

This role is responsible for maintaining MB Canada’s competitive position by compiling relative market data and participating in the design and development of compensation programs and processes, ensuring proper administration, communication and compliance with corporate compensation policies and procedures, as well as developing management and employee communications on all compensation plans and programs. As the main point of contact on all compensation related matters to Executive team, Senior Management/Manager/Supervisors, this role is responsible for providing consultation and advice, as well as preparing ad-hoc reports, projects and providing insight on pay topics.

A day in the life
  • Managing and administrating the annual and quarterly bonus programs and the annual merit process for all employees. Ensure incentive pools and pay spend align with appropriate performance levels for all employee groups and align with budgets determined by Mercedes-Benz AG.
  • Developing employee and management communications regarding compensation topics and changes.
  • Provide recommendations to the HR team regarding the design of compensation programs and policies based on market data, surveys, and best practices. Ensure these programs are aligned with business strategies.
  • Manage job evaluations process and administration of salary structure, job scale, and make recommendations relating to employee salaries etc.
  • Ensure compensation goals are achieved and MB Canada remains in a favourable competitive position by participating and purchasing appropriate salary surveys.
  • Prepare statistical analysis of market data and charts to support recommendations for band ranges and market reference points.
  • Ensure compliance with Mercedes-Benz’s corporate compensation policies, federal and provincial legislation and other Mercedes-Benz Canada policies.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects/analysis for the leadership team.
  • Responsible for HR data analysis, manage local HR reporting and reporting to Mercedes-Benz AG.
  • Collaborate with controlling department throughout the year to provide personnel cost planning, reporting and adjustments based on the organizational structure and other various changes.
  • Manage compensation related employee programs such as tuition reimbursements, boot allowances, tool allowances, etc.

Qualifikationen

Mercedes-Benz Star skills, requirements & traits:
  • University Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics or Mathematics
  • 3-5 years of work experience in Human Resources, particularly in compensation or total rewards. HRIS experience as a plus
  • Working towards CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) preferred
  • Proficiency with HR systems and MS Office applications, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Knowledge of job analysis and job evaluation principles, methods, and procedures.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating and presenting to Senior Management and Executive team.
