The incumbent will be part of a team tasked with analyzing a legacy application to identify Key functionality areas. Develop requirements based on the analysis of the functionality and identify existing or new technology that can be implemented as a strategic replacement.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Identify and analyze functionality of legacy Total Return Swap (TRS) booking system
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders
- Elicit\Interpret business requirements from TRS Front Office, Product Control, Operations and Financial Engineering teams
- Develop business requirement documentation
- Diagram data and business process workflows
- Research and identify potential technology solutions both existing and/or new that meet the business and functional specifications.
- Develop an evaluation framework for assessing existing technology solutions against business requirements
- Evaluate existing technology solutions both internal and third party against business requirements
- Consolidate evaluation results and provide recommendation on buy vs build decision.
- Basic project management deliverables such and status updates and dashboards for stakeholders

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong facilitation skills
- Very good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Very good at working independently
- Intermediate to advanced skills working in dataflow flow modeling software eg. Visio/ Giffy

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Experience (must haves)
- 5+ years working as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in the capital markets technology space
- Demonstratable experience working with Total Return Swap derivative products
- Must have exposure to writing Business and Functional requirement documentation
- Must be able to work with stakeholders of varying seniority and customize content accordingly
Experience (nice to have)
- Exposure to front-to-back applications including trade capture, accounting, settlements and reporting.
- Able to read VBA and reverse engineer logic from complex macros
- Experience working within the corporate loan syndication and or corporate loan trading domain
- Exposure to systems supporting collateral calculation and limit monitoring.
- Familiarity reading ISDA Master Confirmation Agreements
Degrees or certifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline
