THE OPPORTUNITY

Requirements

• Able to work on-site from our Vancouver office an average of 3 days a week
• You have worked in a cross-functional team for at least 6 years, owning large projects
  that you broke down into smaller parts to release separately
• You have 6+ years of experience developing features in web-app backends in Python
• You have maintained projects post-launch, addressing issues that occur in production
  and adapting the projects to new requirements
• You have supported the growth of other engineers on the team through review,
  mentorship, and sponsorship
• You have identified and driven technical improvements across the platform
• You have worked with the Product Team to pitch and prioritize projects across the team
  Blockchain experience is a plus
• Financial literacy is a big plus

About the Role

We are hiring a senior backend engineer to help lead our development efforts in building a robust backend integrating with third-party APIs, building out our crypto pricing engine, and architecting and designing the backend endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Build highly-performant and resilient pricing data aggregation infrastructure with
  third-party APIs
• Work closely with product owners to understand the requirements and promote strong
  collaboration within a cross functional team, including design, product management
• Be a strong contributor to the product vision and drive team planning
• Partner with the team and stakeholders across the organization in designing and
  building highly scalable and reliable products
• Iterate with front engineers, product managers, and designers to come up with the best
  solutions to problems
• Mentor and coach junior team members
