Job Description
Thunderbolt Contracting is currently seeking an experienced mechanic or Level 2+ apprentice to assist in repairing and maintaining our modern fleet of vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate would report to our Shop Service Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs etc. on all vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose, repair and service, braking systems, suspension systems, air systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, cab HVAC, steering components, drivelines, and more.
- Perform Ministry of Transportation vehicle inspections as per Ministry guidelines.
- Complete all necessary paperwork as required for repairs and inspections completed.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Valid G driver's license.
- In-depth knowledge of heavy trucks/equipment.
- Possess own set of mechanic's basic tools.
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Candidates that are in 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship program will also be considered.
