Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Administrative Assistant performs a variety of human resources, and administrative tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Supports recruitment through posting vacancies internally and externally, applicant prescreening, reference checks, requesting of offer letters, new hire paperwork
  • Prepares agendas and minutes for a variety of meetings in support of the care home
  • Ensures team member files are maintained and in compliance with legal requirements
  • Prepares and submits necessary documentation to support the accurate production of payroll. Reviews time entries to ensure correct application of overtime, stat pay etc.
  • Prepares documentation as requested to support management.

What you need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated experience in a confidential administrative role, HR experience preferred
  • Payroll experience supplemented by scheduling experience preferred
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities and abilities to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications is required
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Effective problem-solving skills and solution focused approach
  • Highly organized in prioritizing work and consistently meets deadlines within a fast paced, high volume work environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
