The role of the Accounts Payable Clerk will be to help the CFO catch up on outstanding expense claims and reports. We are looking for someone who can provide financial, administrative and clerical support to the CFO and accounting group. This opportunity requires someone to review expense reports, enter the expense data into SAGE300 and complete payments. You will be responsible for verifying and reconciling invoices and maintaining the general ledger to include the transactions.
The Ideal Candidate will bring 2+ years of accounts payable experience and strong attention to detail in your data entry. You will be comfortable going through a high volume of transactions and ensure the accuracy of the expense within the SAGE300 system. Our client has a backlog of work, and we are looking for someone who is available over the summer months for temporary work. You will bring either a strong SAGE300 background or proven proficiency in learning and adapting to new financial packages. You are Excel savvy and won’t get frustrated by manual processes. We are looking for a clerk who has no problem getting involved in the day-to-day and understands that everyone kicks in within a smaller office environment. The perfect candidate doesn’t shy away from administrative duties but has the accounting acumen and accuracy to help catch up on the outstanding accounts payable. This role will require someone in the office 2-3 days/week and therefore you must be located in the Ottawa area.
