Accounting Clerk

PallayPack Inc. is growing and adding to our team of professionals, at our head office located in the West-Island of Montreal. We design and manufacture machinery, for packaging pharmaceutical products along with machinery for vaccine manufacturing. We have an immediate opening for a permanent, full-time Accounting Clerk to support our growth.

You will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for Accounts Payable and general clerical duties including purchases for day-to-day operations and specific projects, ensuring that Project Costing for purchases is accurate. You will also assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end tasks, as well as provide your input and recommendations to improve current work flow, and eventually for new systems we will be considering. The main tasks include:

  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Receiving departments.
  • Reconcile incoming goods with supplier invoices (Sage Accounting Software).
  • Completing regular payment runs in multiple currencies.
  • Preparing cheques, wire transfers and other online payments.
  • Completing monthly credit card and bank account reconciliations.
  • Participate in reconciliation of vendor accounts.
  • Answer supplier and customer questions regarding payable accounts.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end tasks.
