Interprovincial Cooperative Limited (IPCO), a respected leader in the Agricultural industry, is currently recruiting an Accountant. This position requires on-site work and is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

This role is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of transactions within the Finance function at IPCO, handling regular and ad hoc reconciliations and reports, and supporting the Corporate Controller in the preparation of operating and financial statements. The work involves a wide variety of accounting responsibilities as part of a small team, requiring flexibility and maintaining attention to detail under time pressures.

What you’ll do:

• Process Accounts Payable, including the related payments/banking transactions.
• Process invoices and billings to support the Brokerage department.
• Reconcile Accounts Receivable, identify overdue accounts and initiate collection proceedings as required. Issue monthly customer statements.
• Reconcile and analyze various Balance Sheet accounts.
• Assist and support the Corporate Controller with the preparation of various operating and financial statements (budget, month, and year-end.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Finance and:

• You have a minimum of a certificate program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• You have a minimum of 3-5 years of related accounting or bookkeeping experience. Experience in the manufacturing sector will be considered an asset.
• You have experience working with Microsoft Excel. SYSPRO or other ERP experience will be considered an asset.
• You’re honest and trustworthy, results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
