Job Description
The position of the Mechanic is to ensure and oversee proper repair and maintenance of all company equipment. This equipment includes gas/diesel trucks and vehicles as well as some heavy equipment.
Location: Hamilton, ON
Pay Rate:
- $35 - $40 depending on experience/certification.
- Benefits after 3 months.
- Company matching RRSP after one year.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 310T Truck License (preferred). Will consider 5 years of truck experience without certification.
- Experience working with heavy equipment is an asset
- Driver's License Class "G" or better.
- Knowledgeable about gasoline engines and vehicles.
- Knowledgeable on diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Good understanding of hydraulics and electrics
- Perform preventative maintenance (semi-annual inspections)
- Some welding abilities
- General truck, trailer, and equipment repairs.
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Recognize and follow occupational hazards and standard safety precautions.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
- Able to work efficiently with little supervision.
