POSTING: #30 - 2023/24

POSITION: Learner Support / English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher

APPOINTMENT: 0.654 FTE Continuing

START DATE: September 1, 2023

Qualifications Required:
education degree plus an inclusive education certificate (or equivalent 5 courses) including a University course in level B assessments, theory and practice, plus upper level coursework in ELL methodologies;

recent successful classroom teaching experience;

ability to lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans;

ability to select and adapt curriculum, programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students;

ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;

knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;

demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;

effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;

ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and

BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
